As we scale, we are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our Technology & Infrastructure team and help us build the backbone of our platform.
Job Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer & Azure Cloud Specialist at Automaise, you will be a key player in managing and evolving our cloud infrastructure. You will own the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, ensure the stability and security of our Azure environment, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to support continuous, high-quality software delivery. This is a hands-on technical role with real ownership and the opportunity to shape DevOps culture at a scaling AI company.
What you’ll do:
Infrastructure & Azure Cloud
- Manage and provision Azure resources including Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS and Azure Functions
- Configure and administer virtual networks (VNet, NSG, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Load Balancer)
- Manage cloud databases: Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL Flexible Server and Azure Cache for Redis
- Implement and maintain security policies, RBAC, Azure AD and Key Vault
- Monitor infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights and Alerts
DevOps & Automation
- Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions)
- Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and/or Bicep / ARM Templates
- Containerise applications with Docker and orchestrate via Kubernetes (AKS)
- Automate operational processes using PowerShell, Bash and Python scripts
- Manage repositories and branching strategy in Azure DevOps
Operations & Support
- Plan and execute backup, disaster recovery and failover strategies
- Manage patches, updates and system lifecycle across environments
- Analyse and respond to infrastructure incidents within defined SLAs
- Produce technical documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks and operational procedures
- Collaborate with development teams to optimise cloud performance and control costs
Minimum requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Microsoft Azure (mandatory) — advanced level: ARM, VMs, Networking, Storage, IAM, Cost Management
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or cloud infrastructure role
- CI/CD pipelines — Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
- Infrastructure as Code — Terraform and/or Bicep / ARM Templates
- Containerisation — Docker; Kubernetes / AKS experience is a strong advantage
- Scripting — PowerShell and/or Bash; Python is a plus
- Databases — Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB
- Networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewall, VPN, ExpressRoute
- Security — Azure AD, RBAC, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud
Valued Skills (Differentiators)
- Microsoft Certifications: AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305 or equivalent
- Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD or Flux
- Knowledge of ITIL / ITSM practices
- Multi-cloud experience (AWS and/or GCP)
- Observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog
- Experience with Azure Sentinel / Microsoft Defender XDR
